Welcome to this week’s post. Look for examples of the walking foot quilting taught at the recent workshop with Melissa Marginet, and enjoy all the green fabrics.
From Lorna …
I just finished the quilt below, the fabric coming from the collection that I received from late member Lynne Burnes. She had already cut it out so I just had to sew it together and add batting and backing.
I quilted it with 9 big stars learned in our walking foot class.
I will take it to Linda F for Community Quilts.
From Linda R … The last of my my Shamrock projects. These are my favorites.
From Barb M … A little mug rug.
From Chris … Another of my UFO’s done. It’s a good thing there is curling on TV, 3 games a day, so lots of time to quilt.
This is a Floral Spiral from a pattern I did from the Alphabet Spiral quilt by Kathleen Morgan.
From Linda F … Samples of pet beds for our new Community Quilts project. See the Community Quilts Page for more about this project.
From Diane … Work in progress: This quilt might take me a while to figure out how I want to do borders but I thought I’d send photos as I progress.
From Judy S … My shamrock pillow, one of my very early little projects.
And my crazy patchwork tea cozy.
Looks like we did it — forty shades of green in this post!
Go raibh maith agat (thank you in Irish)
to Lorna, Linda R, Barb M, Chris, Linda F and Diane
These things I warmly wish for you –
Someone to love,
Some work to do,
A bit o’ sun
A bit o’ cheer
And a guardian angel always near.
– AN OLD IRISH GREETING
A Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you!
