Seymour Quilters Guild is a smaller but active group, founded in 2002, who meet in North Vancouver, BC, Canada, to share our love of quilting. We offer a wide variety of quilting activities and opportunities for friendship through quilting. Our members are both new and experienced quilters, with interests that include traditional quilts, modern quilts, and the fabric arts.
Our purposes are to bring learning experience and inspiration to our members by way of workshops, demonstrations for the public, show and tell, speakers, and other programs, and to provide a service to the community by the creation of quilts for those in need.
The Guild is a registered society and a member of the Canadian Quilters Association.
We meet at 12 pm on the third Wednesday of the month, September through June, at Gloria Dei Church Hall, 1110 Gladwin Drive, North Vancouver, BC. Doors open at 11:30 am.
Our activities include:
- ten meetings a year, with speakers, show and tell, and a “free table” for sharing fabric and quilting items
- workshops
- SOSAH Days (Sew Our Stash At Home Days) on Zoom
- making community quilts
- quilt challenges
- making quilts for Quilts of Valour Canada
- Have Quilts Will Travel visits in the community (on hold)
We have a monthly newsletter and a large library of quilting books.
