Staying Connected #23

Greetings to all. Some projects to admire … and perhaps inspire your quilting as autumn approaches.

From Linda R … Here are couple of birthday gifts I’ve been working on.
A runner and trivets. Also, two little bags.

From Kory … Last time I sent a photo of one of my placemats. These are the finished placemats (fronts and backs) and great samples of ruler work. Fun class and rulers from Silly Moon Quilting Co.

From Lorna … This is a quilt that I am giving to my newborn granddaughter.

My daughter-in-law loves vintage fabric so I went into my stash and found oodles of Prairie Points that I decided not to use in a queen size quilt that I made several years ago.

I ironed them open, added a neutral fabric, and made half square triangles. I still have many left! Then, with a generous offer from Diane M, I was able to supplement my stash and added the larger theme pieces.

For the back, I had a panel that I thought worked rather well.

From Arlene T … Saw chickens like these in a quilting store while travelling with my daughter last year. (It was she who insisted we go in!)

Bought a charm pack there and found the pattern on the internet, as they suggested.

Fun to make each one a bit different!

And a quilt made by Arlene …

From Linda D … in the Smiles and Chuckles department …

With many thanks to Linda R, Kory, Lorna, Arlene T, and Linda D

Lastly, a summer delight … a vase of gloriously scented sweet peas … with its own mat, of course!
