From Moira …
“I was in Sisters, Oregon, for the Outdoor Quilt Show July 14. It was very hot but worth the two hours walking around. My husband even walked with me.
There were quilts from Campbell River and Comox on display. They also did fabric postcards. Special ones were auctioned and others sold for a set price.”
The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is recognized as the world’s biggest outdoor quilt show. The first show was held in 1975, and it is held every year on the second Saturday in July.
Sisters is a small Old West town located in central Oregon between the high desert and the Cascades mountain range. Quilts are displayed in all sorts of outdoor settings, and quilt lovers and others flock to this show from all over the world.
The Stitchin’ Post (quilt shop) in Sisters, Oregon is a sponsor of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.
The next Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show will be on Saturday, July 13, 2019, 9am – 4pm.
Thanks for these photos, Moira, and for drawing our attention to this wonderful show.
