Fraser Valley Quilters’ Guild has curated a very beautiful exhibition of quilts called “Botany Inspired Stitches” at VanDusen Botanical Garden. Flowers, gardens, and landscapes have been created in fabric by quilt artists using stunning colour palettes and intricate techniques.
The quilts are on display in the Discovery Room gallery in the Visitor Centre and can be viewed at no charge. The exhibition opened on February 27 and will be available for viewing during regular garden operating hours until April 3.
VanDusen Botanical Garden is located at 5251 Oak Street at West 37th Avenue (northwest corner). For an admission fee, you can wander out into the gardens and enjoy the early flowering bulbs, rhododendrons, and magnolias.
