We are a smaller but active group, founded in 2002, who meet in North Vancouver, BC, Canada, to share our love of quilting. Our members are both new and experienced quilters.
Seymour Quilters Guild is a member-funded society registered with BC Societies and a member of the Canadian Quilters’ Association.
The purposes of the Guild are:
- To bring learning experience and inspiration to our members by way of workshops, demonstrations for the public, show and tell, speakers, and other programs.
- To provide a service to the community by the creation of quilts for those in need.
We offer members a wide variety of activities related to quilting and the fabric arts, and reach into the community with our quilt donations, our Have Quilts Will Travel presentations, and our support of Quilts of Valour Canada.
Currently, we are meeting on Zoom until it is safe to meet in person.
Normally, general meetings are held at 12 pm on the second Wednesday of the month, September through June, at Gloria Dei Church Hall, 1110 Gladwin Drive, North Vancouver, BC. Doors open at 11:30 am.
Meetings open with guild business, followed by Show & Tell, a refreshment break, and a presentation. During the refreshment break, members can sign up for workshops, browse the library, visit the free table, catch up with other guild activities, and, of course, chat.
Board meetings are held two weeks before general meetings, September through June, at members’ homes.
The guest fee is $8.00.
