October 2018 – Members Teaching Members

The program at our October meeting was our traditional “Members Teaching Members,” and it was fun, inspiring, and informative, as always.  Several presentations were given by members, and small groups moved from table to table, enjoying demonstrations of hexigons, folded stars, thread painting and machine embroidery, single fold bindings, a super quick table runner, ruler work with machine quilting, and paper piecing. May 2018 – Churn Dash Block

Congratulations to Lorna on winning the Pitcher Blocks.  I know she already has plans for them.  Thanks to Anne for showing her wheelchair quilts made with the Envelope Blocks!

Now that Quilt Canada has come and gone I hope you will have time to make the Churn Dash Block.  Please make the background white and the foreground a print in a saturated colour.  Just bring it to the June meeting for a chance to win all the blocks in the lotto!

I will not be presenting a new block in June but I will do blocks for September to November.

Happy Quilting, Marilyn
