Spring Luncheon

From Marilyn and Barb …

Our Spring Luncheon … fun on a beautiful day!

We started with the meeting.  Thirty-six members attended.  Membership’s door prizes – half yards of solids – were won by Catherine B, Chris G, and Elaine A.

After the meeting, as we prepared for lunch, we learned that many people have always washed their china in the dishwasher – just using a small amount of non-bleach soap, a short wash, and no silver in at the same time.

It was lovely to hear the stories members told about their elegant table settings. We are the safeguards of so much family history — and china!

Then the entertainment began with Zoom Break-Out Rooms for sharing when and how we started in quilting. There were two games to explore our knowledge about quilting and ourselves as quilters.

In lieu of game prizes, Programme drew door prizes of gift certificates which went to Linda F and Jo-Anne S and a box of pins went to Marilyn C.

Over the past six months 12 quilters finished 61 quilting projects.  In the UFO Draw spools of Aurifil thread went to Moira S, Riva N, Chris G, and Cecile G.  So many quilts were finished and cupboards cleared, making space for even more fabric.

The luncheon ended with an excellent slide show prepared by Judy S.

We will probably be back to “in person” for our Winter Luncheon in December but we will have good memories of our Zoom luncheons.

Elegant tables, good food, excellent company, laughter, and games!

Happy Quilt-y Summer!
