Staying Connected #59

What we’re making …

From Eleanor … This is the first installment in Cristina De Miranda’s Mystery Quilt series. It is worth a try. Her instructions are very well done. (I bought some of her patterns as well.) First try at Modern Quilting.

This is the CQA ” row by row” final row.

This is my “grow a quilt.”

From Barb … A quilt for Ian, our grandson …

… and progress on grow a quilt …

From Linda F … Don’t let me into a fabric store. I will buy too much. Here is an example.

Wanting to make a banner for the Love Lynn Valley project, I went to Fabricana. Then brain dum-dum went into work, and I bought twice as much as I had generously anticipated. But then, I had to add a couple of other fabrics that caught my eye. Good grief.

Thanks to SOSAH Day, I finished my 13 foot banner, but I am still awash with fabric. Luckily, a couple of members came to my rescue and were willing to sew banners for the Lynn Valley Library. But, there is a lot of fabric here. A lot. So, if you too would like to lift the spirits of Lynn Valley, call me. I have fabric for you, free to guild members.

Two-sided banner …

Many thanks to Eleanor, Barb M and Linda F for contributing to this post.

Enjoying other people’s gardens …
