Staying Connected #51

From our quilting spaces …

From Moira … A small tea cozy for a friend turning 70 in April.

A cat bed done on our SOSAH day. Made out of leftover scraps from other projects.

From Diane … A second wheelchair ready to go

Also from Diane … The story of a “storymat.” Made this for my granddaughter who is starting to chat … it’s so she can tell me stories.

The Inspiration: I was inspired by the scrap jars that have been overflowing lately and I was wondering how to use them. Then I searched my buttons and added them. I may do more on it depending on how she likes it.

The Finished Storymat: I added a little dog and a cat on ribbon so it can move around the storymat.

From Anne W … This is my entry to CQA’s TrendTex Challenge. I named it: “Friendship during Covid.”

As the theme was friendship, I used the dotted fabric to represent the good energy flowing between all my family and friends houses (the house fabric) through all our electronic devices, email, WhatsApp, Zoom etc.,as we’ve been staying in touch.

Hugs to All πŸ€— …. And Happy EasterπŸ°πŸ£πŸŒ·πŸ”βœ‚οΈπŸ“

These are the 2021 TrendTex Challenge fabrics that must be included in the quilt.

The TrendTex Challenge is a fundraiser for the Canadian Quilters’ Association supported by fabric retailer, TrendTex Fabrics, who donate the fabric for the Challenge. Quilts must follow rules re fabric choice, size, and finishing, to qualify for judging and awards. More about The TrendTex Challenge.

Did you know? If you are a member of the Canadian Quilters’ Association, you can access lots of interesting quilting information via their online Members Only Studio. You can also enter the CQA Fat Quarter Lotto.

Thank you to Moira, Diane, and Anne W for this online show and tell.

Happy Easter! Happy April!
