Staying Connected #41

Welcome to this week’s online show and tell, with a special treat for pet lovers!

From Jo-Anne … My completed 52 blocks CQA quilt. It was quilted by Wendy Margerm.

Also, two wheelchair quilt tops just finished from Mystery Quilt block of the month by Nicholas Turcan. I decided not to carry on with the program so completed the eight blocks into charity quilts.

A heart quilt for my family friend, Clare, to use on her wheel chair. I will give it before Valentine’s Day.

Meet my new cat Jasper who likes to sit on a quilt in front of the fireplace. I made the quilt in Krista’s class a few years ago.

From Judy S … I have an “Orphan Blocks and Patches” quilt on the go and here’s what it looked like in the beginning stages.

The process for building this quilt involves framing orphan blocks and filling the spaces in between with orphan patches, smaller blocks, and interesting fabrics. Thanks to Irene for sharing this technique with me many years ago!

Many thanks to Jo-Anne for sharing her quilting projects with us – and introducing us to her new cat!

Yoskyl made this wonderful little quilt some years back for a TrendTex Challenge.
