Berene is a local quilt/fabric artist who presented a slide and trunk show to illustrate her journey in coping with anxiety. She guided us through her toolbox of attitudes and actions she used in her journey.
We were inspired. She encouraged us to appreciate what we have and use our quilting to help and inspire others and thereby help ourselves cope with life.

- For International Women’s Day Berene created the Sisterhood Quilt Swap and it resulted in a donation of $4,000. to Beautiful World Canada. The pattern is now available in her Etsy shop.
- Another initiative she organized was the Toronto Love Project after the van attack in Toronto. Long narrow banners were made and hung in the North York Centre.
