At our March meeting, members enjoyed a trunk show presented by Terry Aske, a Vancouver art quilter. Terry started her quilting journey in 1998, when she took her first course and discovered she really liked it. As an accountant in her other life, Terry told us that quilting gives her opportunities to explore her creativity. She uses a variety of techniques to construct her quilts and sometimes works on a series of quilts that appeal to her, such as trees and portraits. She has embraced the modern quilting movement in her pieces and enjoys entering her quilts into competitions. Her quilts are innovative, varied and beautifully sewn, and were much admired by her audience.
