With summer just around the corner, members gathered for food and fun at our June meeting, bringing pot luck dishes and quilts to show. Diane and her committee put together an entertaining program of games and prizes. Many hands were busy setting up the room and running the kitchen.
Competition in the games was intense as there were chances to win collections of pretty fabrics or spots near the head of the line at the buffet tables. Several members won door prizes or colourful plants. Diane and Marilyn won the draw for the UFO Challenge, and Sonia’s quilt was voted Favourite Garden Quilt.
Diane introduced the Modern Mystery Quilt Challenge which will run for several months, involves six lessons in installments, and possible fabric buying.
