I was surprised to hear that a few people had heard of the authors in the book display at the meeting.
If you missed it – there were examples of novels with quilts or quilting as part of the theme and some books on the Underground Railway. The books were from the North Van District Libraries but I am sure that all the local municipal libraries have these books.

We have also developed a list on the Underground Railway because of our April program. There are books concerning the Underground Railway for adults, teens and children. Click for an OVERALL LIST, an ADULTS LIST, a TEEN LIST or a CHILDREN LIST. The lists include fiction and non-fiction books and do not always include quilts but I have included all of them to cover everyone’s interests. There are good books in all the categories.

Once you have read all of them (!) don’t forget that our District Public Library system offers an excellent INTERLIBRARY LOAN Service which will pull in any request that you may make and is available from libraries in British Columbia. The BC catalogue is on the NVDPL catalogue under ILL (Interlibrary Loan)
