OCTOBER 5, 2021 (pre-session)
October 20 & 22, 2021 (half-days)

This workshop is open to guild members and non-members.

Canadian Icon is a Zoom workshop with Jennifer Houlden.

Learn about Jennifer in her biography.

You will learn how to create a small wall hanging depicting one of Canada’s great icons using collage, appliqué, couching and colour wash on a single fabric background or a faux bargello background.  This will be a fun project to experiment with other types of fabric to create texture and dimension.  Suitable for new and experienced quilters.

Patterns by Jen for a Polar Bear, Inukshuk, and Windswept Lone Pine are included in the workshop.

Pre-session: Tuesday, October 5, 10-11am PDT. Discuss choosing colours and fabrics for the workshop.

Day 1: Wednesday, October 20, 10am-1pm PDT. Create the background.

Day 2: Friday, October 22, 10am-1pm PDT. Add the Canadian icon from Jen or one of your own.

Fee: Members $45; Non-Members $50.

Please note that the Sunflower Power Workshop scheduled for November 2021 has been cancelled.
